BANANA OAT BREAKFAST BALLS {WITH A PEANUT BUTTER DRIZZLE}

This is a simple three ingredient recipe that I whipped up one morning incorporating three of my favourite breakfast foods and I have been loving it ever since. I present to you...banana oat breakfast balls with a peanut butter drizzle.

Ingredients:
(makes about 5 balls)
1 Banana
1 Cup Oats
1 tbsp Peanut Butter

Method:
1. Mash up the ripened banana in a bowl.
2. Combine the banana with 1 cup of oats.
3. Roll the banana oat mixture into balls and microwave for 1 minute.
4. Drizzle with a tablespoon of melted peanut butter.

Tip:
- Add the amount of oats you like according to texture.
- Make these the night before so all you have to do is grab them out of the fridge in the morning.
- You could also add some honey into the mixture to make them even sweeter.

So there you go, a quick and easy breakfast that is healthy and nutritious. Now no more excuses for skipping breakfast!

Thank you for reading :)

Good recipe jordy, just a lil. Doubt should we. Use high power on the microwave

If I'm using a NuWave oven should I heat them longer?

How long would they keep for in the fridge? Thanks :) x

In your video you added cinnamon. How much should be added to the recipe?

I bet we could use gluten free oats hey?

You are such a pretty girl, Jordy. I watched your breakfast balls recipe video and you had so much make up on it took away from that beautiful face that you have. Keep the make up simple. Let your natural beauty shine.

How do you make this if you don't use a microwave? How cooked do the oats get in the microwave?

My question too: how long in the oven and at what temp?
(In my opinion a microwave is not for food)

How many calories please?? anyone?

does anyone know what the calories would be on this? Thanks

Very good! I added a tbsp. of mini chocolate chips then skipped the peanut butter.

I'm going to try a little brown sugar

I'm going to try a little brown sugar

What kind of oats work best, old fashion or 3-minute oats?

Using PB2, per ball: 91 cal, 1g fat, 10 mg sodium, 19g carbs, 3g protein, 3g fiber, 4g sugar

I don't like microwaving my food either. Anyone tried baking them in the oven? What gas mark/temperature? How long?

I just made them for my afternoon snack, I for sure will be making these often :). So fast and easy to make

I made these using a Porridge Oats Blend that consists of Large flake oats, oat bran, wheat bran and flaxseed. I also added hemp hearts, peanut butter, a little brown sugar and some cinnamon. I baked mine in the oven at 350 for 5 minutes rolled them over to the other side and baked them for another 5 minutes. They taste so amazingly delicious, and with a higher protein content you don't need to eat 5 per serving I can only do 2-3 :) my recipe was: 2 bananas, 2 cups of "Rogers Porridge Oats Original Blend", 3 tbsp. of hemp hearts, 2 tbsp. of peanut butter, 1 tbsp. brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon. bake in oven at 350 for 10 minutes rolling onto other side after 5 minutes. I let them cool before putting in a container in the fridge. My mixture Made 14 balls :) THANKS FOR THE GREAT IDEA THAT INSPIRED ME TO ADD SOME MORE STUFF TO THEM!

Going to try your spin on it. Did you add the pb to the mix before baking or as a drizzle?

I can't eat bananas. Can you suggest something else to replace that with?

How many serving can we eat for breakfast? If one person.

My daughter & niece have celiac - will try to make them with gluten free oats.

Can u use microwaveable packets of instant oatmeal? Anyone use peanut butter and/ or Nutella? Can u use crunch peanut butter?

What type of oats? I think I may add raisons.

Bake 350 degree 10 minutes flip half way if you dont want a crunchy cookie bottom. I wonder if i could use shredded apple? Add sliver almonds, diced figs, flax seed, sounds like a custom made granola ball!

If you can't eat bananas you could use dates or pear or apple or mixed. Cut into chunks and microwave or boil in a little water. Mash and cool before mixing. I make flapjack (UK) or traybake with raisins and nuts in a similar way.

Can you freeze these if you make a bunch? Like freeze and then take out what you want, thaw and then microwave them.
