I recently had the chance to chat with Sharon, the incredible woman behind Notox Box. Notox Box is an Australian based monthly subscription box where you receive 5-10 premium healthy and eco products delivered to your door each month for $25. It's truly inspiring to see companies like this spreading the message of healthy living and sharing the importance of taking care of our bodies with a healthy lifestyle.
Where did the
inspiration for Notox Box come from?
I started Notox Box to help others find the best healthy, organic & non toxic products in the easiest way. While sorting out my own health issues, I was overwhelmed with all the information and claims on products. I wanted to eat clean, less processed food, to use less toxic skincare & makeup, and I wanted my house filled with products that were free of nasty chemicals. I sorted out the products I loved by sifting through ingredient lists, and nutrition panels, talking to specialists, taking years of trial and error to find the ones that worked best. Along the way, I managed a health food store with over 10,000 products and got to try products out every day. I talked to the makers about what was going in their products, and how they were made. I spoke to thousands of customers and found which products worked for them. So many people wanted to make changes, to choose healthy better products, but were frustrated because they didn’t know where to start, didn’t have the time to read labels, or run around to every store to find great products. I thought there had to be an easier way! There wasn’t, so I decided to create it. I wanted a way that was easy for people to discover new natural, organic & eco products, and to live healthy and happy.
How does Notox Box work and what is your favourite aspect of it?
Notox Box is about discovering healthy, clean, non toxic products that you can use everyday. It’s important to reduce our chemical load, both for ourselves and our environment. We have a range of healthy, organic & eco products in store including food, skincare, beauty & home products. We hand pick them, list all ingredients, and have a chart that lets you know if something is certified, organic, fair trade, vegan, raw, or allergy friendly. You can buy the products online and have them delivered straight to you, wherever you are. We found a lot of people were overwhelmed to start. So we created our monthly Notox Box. It’s a surprise box filled with 5-10 products, and can include health food, superfoods, organic skincare, beauty, and eco products. This way, you can try them at home, sort out the ones you like, and find them again easily in our shop. My favourite aspect every day is hearing that someone has found a new product that works for them, and they are making the switch to living healthy & non toxic!

Our monthly Notox Box can include health food, superfoods, organic skincare, beauty, and eco products. It’s a surprise every month, so you get to try new things, and find new favourites. We also have a range of gift boxes we’re launching, so if you’d like to pick up a healthy hamper or gift, you can find those in store. You can also design your own Notox Box - just pick the products you’d like, and we can box it up for you.
It’s obvious from Notox Box that compassionate living is vital, what are the main reasons you would urge someone to live their life in a healthy and eco-friendly way?
We’ve big on feeling good about ourselves, our community and our environment. Living in a healthy & eco friendly way just feels better!
Notox Box has seen much success, what do you see happening next? Are there any upcoming projects or plans to expand in different directions?
We’ve been amazed at the response from everyone! It’s been so exciting to see our idea grow into a business that is helping others find healthier choices. We love hearing from our fans about things they would like to see in store. Some of the plans for next year include growing our product range to over 3000 products. We’re adding new things every week. We’re also getting a lot of requests to send our boxes overseas, so we’re looking to start branching out there.
