"INDAH" is a deluxe range of all natural and purely organic body care, fragrances and virgin coconut oil started in 2008 by the inspirational Australian, Teisha Lowry! What really interests me the most from INDAH is their Extra Virgin Coconut Oil because about a month ago I wrote all about the benefits of coconut oil as an amazing super food. The "INDAH" coconut oil really appealed to me as it is hand pressed, organic, completely natural and extra virgin. I had the opportunity to ask the beautiful Teisha some questions all about her coconut oil, philosophy on health and fitness, tips for girls wanting to achieve the same as her and of course "INDAH". So keep reading to find out more about this gorgeous girl and her incredible company.
Where did
the inspiration for INDAH come from?
The organic
industry has reached a whole new dimension where the effects of pure
ingredients are being exploited by so many beauty brands. I realised this when
I was studying Aromatherapy, and how important it is to put ‘real’ organic
ingredients such as pure essential oils on our skin. It’s taken me a long time
to discover the psychological and physiological effects toxins have on the
body, I’m still learning but my brand allows me to voice my knowledge and
experiences with my customers.
There are so
many ways coconut oil can be used so what is your personal favourite use for
INDAH coconut oil?
Virgin Coconut Oil, it’s my No.1 beauty secret. I have been
using this miracle oil for years, it has worked wonders for my skin and it
keeps my insides healthy too. It’s organic, affordable, smells delish, you can
eat it and cook with it. It’s the base of all of my products, I use it as the
base for the whole collection, because it carries the ingredients into the
bloodstream where it can detoxify and help replenish and renew cells.
Your INDAH
coconut oil is labelled to be “hand pressed”; “organic” and “extra virgin”
could you explain what those terms mean and why they are so important for the
quality of your coconut oil? We source our Coconut Oil from the organic coconut
farms of Mt Agung - the volcano that sits to the East of Bali. The plantation
is in the middle of the jungle, far from society, traffic and any sort of
pollution. The coconuts are hand selected and farmed organically, extra virgin
means that it’s extracted within half an hour of opening the coconut. We hand-press our coconut flesh, we don’t
use any kind of low – high heat or chemical/machinery processing, there’s a lot
of manpower behind our production to get the purest quality possible. Our oil
is so unrefined you can take it internally as pure energy, hair and beauty
treatments and array of other uses. It beats buying a $50 of Moroccan Oil any
day.
Coconut oil
is an incredible super food so does your interest in such quality foods reflect
your philosophy on health and fitness?
Yes, absolutely, ever since I started
INDAH. My whole philosophy has changed for the better. My mind, body and spirituality
are reflected through my brand and all of my products are made with coconut oil
and active ingredients. My diet changed for the better about five years ago,
because of my fiancé - is a Metabolic Type Advisor and Holistic Practitioner,
my body is still detoxing but I have energy now to last the whole day. My skin
is a true reflection of what’s going on inside my body, so I pay a lot
attention to what type of foods I’m eating, that being - real food and organic.
I like to live a certain lifestyle – which is green and clean, it has improved
my health and internal balance in my digestion, and therefore skin tone and I
feel younger than ever. Everybody is different, so what food works for one may
not work for the other
You are such
an inspiration to all young women out there through the lifestyle you lead and
all that you have achieved. Do you have any tips for girls who want to follow
in your footsteps?
Be original! Run your own race and don’t copy others,
there’s no integrity in your business or yourself when you do that. You have to
have believe in your ability, because,
most of the people in your world probably won’t… I can’t be successful if I
didn’t believe I deserved it, I have always had faith in myself to never give
up, believing in myself is the key, because it has paved this path for me and I
have come out the other end and I can share this learning experience and
knowledge with others.
I hope this article has given you all more insight into Teisha and 'INDAH", I think that she is an absolutely brilliant role model for young women because she leads a healthy and compassionate lifestyle as well as being a smart and savvy business woman. Definitely go and check out INDAH, especially the Virgin Coconut Oil if you have been searching for one with a great quality.
