So I am back with another meat substitute review, this time I will be reviewing Fry's Crumbed Schnitzels. I have been quite busy trying out all different types of vegetarian foods and this time it's even vegan, making it double as amazing!
Taste:
These have quickly become one of my favourite things ever. They taste so delicious and way better than a chicken schnitzel because when I'm eating it I have peace of mind that I'm not going to come across any disgusting cartilage which will remind me that I'm eating another animal. If you aren't vegetarian, don't take offense because I'm not referring to all meat...just really low grade processed meats that contain gristle.
Serving:
I served mine with an extremely basic salad of avocado and tomato with some steamed broccoli and cauliflower. I have also tried this inside a burger to replace the meat and it was very delicious.

* What I love about this one is that it is completely vegan, hooray! So although I'm not technically vegan, I do try to avoid most dairy but mainly milk. Often vegetarian meat substitute products do contain a lot of dairy such as milk, cream, cheese, eggs and all sorts so I was extremely happy to find that this product was not only meat free but also dairy free so no animal products at all included. Going by the taste, I didn't miss any of those dairy products at all! In fact, I preferred it because it made me feel much lighter in comparison to if I ate a schnitzel which contained animal products.
Price:
It's $8 for pack that contains 4 schnitzels so it's similarly priced to meat.
So that was another installment of my "meat substitute review" series. If you would like to see more then click HERE for the full collection. The next one will definitely be coming up soon because I have been trying out Quorn and other vegetarian products like crazy!
Thanks for reading ♥
