CREAMY MUSHROOM PASTA - VEGAN

It's easy to think that being vegan means missing out on rich and creamy foods but if this recipe is any indication, you can pretty much make anything vegan. This is a recipe for my creamy mushroom pasta; a decadent and bowl licking good mixture that has the same texture as cream filled and cheesy alternatives. Read on for this magic recipe that you will be hooked on.

Ingredients
1 large onion
2 Garlic cloves
3 extra-large mushrooms
1 can coconut cream
Vegetable Stock
Salt and pepper
Spaghetti pasta

Method- Dice the onion and mince the garlic then leave to sauté with olive oil in a hot skillet.
- Add the mushrooms and keep stirring mixture until simmering then add vegetable stock to taste.
- Heat up the coconut cream in a saucepan then add it to the mushroom mixture.
- Season to taste and leave to reduce.
- Serve on bed of pasta.

That's all there is to it, quite simple really. Give this one a go next time you are craving a naughty cheat meal because it is delicious, filling and above all - completely VEGAN!

MEAT SUBSTITUTE REVIEW: LINDA MCCARTNEY MUSHROOM PIES

So I am back with another meat substitute review, this time I will be reviewing a range that I have never tried before from Linda McCartney. Due to the large amount of pastry contained in pies, they definitely aren't healthy but back when I ate meat I liked to have them as a treat (what kind of Aussie would I be if I didn't eat pies at least every once in a while) so was excited to find a meat free replacement with mushroom, ale and lentil filling.

MEAT SUBSTITUTE REVIEW: QUORN MINCE

So I am back with another meat substitute review, this time I will be reviewing Quorn Meat Free and Soy Free Sausages. I wasn't sure what a meat free sausage would taste like but I was excited to find out.

MEAT SUBSTITUTE REVIEW: FRY'S CRUMBED SCHNITZELS

So I am back with another meat substitute review, this time I will be reviewing Fry's Crumbed Schnitzels. I have been quite busy trying out all different types of vegetarian foods and this time it's even vegan, making it double as amazing!

MEAT SUBSTITUTE REVIEW: QUORN CHEESE AND SPINACH SCHNITZELS

This is the first of many "meat substitute reviews" that will be going up on Jordy's Fitness because as those of you who follow me on instagram would know, I have recently turned vegetarian. For the past year or so I have only been eating meat a couple of times a month but now that I'm vegetarian, I'm on the hunt for protein substitutes that can replace when I usually ate meat. Since these meat substitutes don't come with all of the health repercussions that actual meat does, I might even end up eating them on a regular basis. I grew up on vegetarian because of my mum and when I moved out of home I remained vego since my boyfriend also doesn't eat meat, I'm already a lover of all a heap of vegetarian foods like tofu, not burgers, fake bacon and other schnitzel things. So I'm not exactly new to this but am definitely on more of a search for new things to try now. Keep reading to hear what I thought about the Quorn Cheese and Spinach Schnitzels.
